TERMS OF SERVICE
Last Updated: March 31st, 2025
By enrolling in the PROJECT MENTR Apprenticeship Program ("the Program"), you acknowledge and agree to abide by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("the Apprentice") and PROJECT MENTR, operated in the state of Massachusetts.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
1.1 Implied Consent After Payment
By submitting an application and making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Mentee," "Apprentice") and PROJECT MENTR ("Company," "we," "our," "us").
2. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
2.1 Program Structure
PROJECT MENTR provides a structured coaching program for Teamfight Tactics players. The Program provides mentorship and coaching services in Teamfight Tactics (TFT), including:
Direct communication with a mentor
Bi-weekly coaching sessions (minimum one hour per session)
Optional pro VOD reviews
Exclusive tournaments with prize pools
Personalized end-of-program reports
3. Eligibility
3.1 Applicant Requirements
Applicants must have achieved the following requirements to be eligible for PROJECT MENTR:
Have achieved a career peak rank of Masters+ in TFT
Submit a complete application before the deadline
Be selected by a mentor after the interview process
PROJECT MENTR reserves the right to accept, deny, or waitlist applicants at its sole discretion.
4. PAYMENT AND NO REFUND POLICY
4.1 Payment Terms
The full program cost is $1,225 USD, payable upfront through the website upon acceptance.
Payment Requirements:
If an Apprentice is accepted but does not complete payment within 24 hours, they lose their spot.
A waitlist process does not exist unless Kai explicitly grants permission for late payment via Discord DMs.
4.2 Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued under normal circumstances, including but not limited to:
Apprentice dissatisfaction with mentorship or coaching
Apprentice’s inability to participate due to personal reasons
Lack of improvement or success in TFT
Changes in personal schedule, game balance, or competitive format
Refunds may be granted under extreme circumstances, such as medical leave or forced military enlistment that was unknown to the player before enrolling. This is handled on a case-by-case basis and must be discussed directly with Kai via Discord DMs.
If PROJECT MENTR cancels the program before it begins, a full refund will be issued. However, the program officially begins two days after acceptance.
5. PROGRAM PARTICIPATION
5.1 Expected Participation
The following lists the program participation expectations of all Apprentices in the program:
Apprentices work with their Mentor to schedule their coaching sessions based on both party’s availability.
Rescheduling of sessions is allowed, but both the Apprentice and Mentor must mutually agree on an alternate time. Rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance, except in cases of emergency.
Each Apprentice is entitled to two coaching sessions per week, each lasting at least one hour.
Mentor pairings are not guaranteed and cannot be appealed.
If a mentor becomes unavailable, PROJECT MENTR does not guarantee a replacement.
If the designated mentor becomes unavailable for an extended period (e.g., due to illness or personal emergency), PROJECT MENTR will make reasonable efforts to assign a new mentor or reschedule sessions. However, a mentor replacement is not guaranteed, and the final decision on how to proceed will be made by Kai.
If a satisfactory Mentor replacement cannot be found, a pro-rated refund will be calculated based on the number of sessions the Apprentice has completed up until the point of mentor unavailability, relative to the total number of sessions initially scheduled for the Program. The refund amount will be calculated as a percentage of the Program fee, with the total fee reduced based on the proportion of remaining sessions. The longer the Apprentice has been in the Program and the more sessions completed, the smaller the refund.
The final decision regarding refunds, including the amount and eligibility, is at Kai’s sole discretion.
Apprentices may not transfer or assign their enrollment in the Program to another person.
6. Intellectual Property & Sharing Policy
6.1 Section Overview
The following lists PROJECT MENTR’s intellectual property and sharing policy in regard to original content, sharing information, and coaching sessions.
PROJECT MENTR retains ownership of all program materials, including coaching methodologies, reports, tournament structures, and proprietary strategies.
Apprentices may share what they have learned.
Apprentices may redistribute program materials but may not claim materials such as VOD review sessions, progress reports, or other structured content as their own work.
By enrolling in the Program, you expressly consent to being recorded during coaching sessions and VOD reviews. These recordings may be used for internal review, analysis, or educational purposes. Additionally, these recordings could potentially be shared publicly, unless you submit a written request to Kai, specifying your desire to be excluded from any such sharing of media.
To be considered an enforceable request, the written request can be informal but must include proof that Kai has acknowledged and responded to your request. Once such a request has been acknowledged by Kai, any relevant media will be removed from public sharing, as per the request, and Kai must ensure compliance.
Failure to submit an acknowledged request may result in media being used or shared publicly as part of the Program's content.
7. Code of Conduct
7.1 Apprentice Behavior
Apprentices are expected to conduct themselves professionally within the PROJECT MENTR community. Any harassment, inappropriate behavior, hate speech, doxxing, or toxic in-game behavior may result in immediate removal from the Program without a refund.
Enforcement:
Warnings may be issued at Kai’s sole discretion.
Immediate removal is possible based on the severity of the offense.
Apprentices may appeal their removal by speaking directly with Kai, but the final decision rests solely with Kai.
7.2 Mentor Behavior
Mentors are expected to conduct themselves professionally within the PROJECT MENTR community. If an Apprentice believes that their mentor is acting in a manner that is rude, uncooperative, unresponsive, or unprofessional, they should notify Kai immediately.
Evidence will only be considered valid if:
It comes from messages found in the designated text channels assigned to each mentor/apprentice pairing.
It consists of video evidence from coaching sessions or VOD reviews.
In extreme cases, where a mentor is engaging in clear and overwhelming misconduct (e.g., repeated harassment, hate speech, or direct personal attacks), direct messages (DMs) may be considered as evidence. However, minor disputes or isolated incidents within DMs will not be used as valid evidence.
Mentors are not required to record sessions, so Apprentices are strongly encouraged to record their VOD review sessions in case evidence is needed.
Any reported issues will be reviewed by Kai, and appropriate action will be taken at Kai’s sole discretion.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
8.1 Section Overview
PROJECT MENTR does not guarantee specific results, rankings, or earnings as a result of participation in the Program. The Program is designed to provide mentorship and coaching, but individual improvement depends on the Apprentice’s effort, skill, and commitment.
PROJECT MENTR shall not be held liable for any losses, including but not limited to:
Financial losses
Missed competitive opportunities
Emotional distress or dissatisfaction with coaching outcomes
8.2 Majeure Situation and Refund Requests Under Extreme Conditions
In the event of a force majeure situation (e.g., natural disasters, government actions, pandemics), PROJECT MENTR may extend the Program duration to make up for lost time. If the Program is delayed for more than 14 days, apprentices may request a refund, subject to Kai’s discretion.
8.3 Third-Party Services
PROJECT MENTR is not responsible for any issues related to third-party services used in conjunction with the Program, such as Discord, payment processors, or external coaching tools. Any issues with these services should be directed to the relevant third-party provider.
9. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
9.1 Section Overview
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Massachusetts under Massachusetts law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

PROJECT MENTR shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters.

Any other unforeseeable event that prevents the fulfillment of the Program
